🌊Let’s Make Our Coastal Community A Climate Leader, Thursday, June 9 – 7:30 – 9 PM. In the Sanctuary. Featuring: Visiting Climate Activist The Rev. Dr. Jim Antal. With reflections on climate solutions by local leaders: Sustainable Westport and Wakeman Town Farm.

DISCOVER

🌊Copps Island Oyster Bed tour with Dick Harris, Tuesday, July 12, 9:30 am – 12 noon, Norwalk, CT, free of charge: Two tour options: Tour #1) A 90-minute dock and museum tour covering lobstering, oyster farming, and invasive species concerns. Or Tour #2) Tour #1 plus a one-hour boat trip to the oyster beds and actual harvesting for a total of 2 1/2 hours. Contact Linda Yingling to RSVP.

🌊Sunset Cruise with Maritime Aquarium of Norwalk, July 30 
Enjoy a fun boat tour out to the Norwalk islands timed to include the setting sun and – if we’re lucky – a dazzling western sky reflecting on the water. Aquarium educators will point out sights and wildlife. Contact Linda Yingling to order tickets

🌊All-Church Clambake: Saturday, August 20 at Combo Beach, meet near the Cannons. No beach sticker needed.   Help us celebrate our summer of fun with a Saugatuck clambake beach dinner! Tickets are $44 per adult, $12 per child. Ticket includes: 1.5 lb lobster, clams, mussels, corn and potatoes, plus watermelon for dessert. Served buffet style, with plates, etc. provided. If you’d like to substitute chicken or steak in place of seafood, please indicate that with your RSVP.

Please bring chairs or a blanket for yourself or your group! You can submit your ticket payment online at tinyurl.com/clambake820 or via check to Natalie’s mailbox. 🌊Friday evening, September 30, Public Art Opening and Renewal Celebration: SAVE THE DATE for a festive capstone event. Capture images of our coastal community during the summer, as you participate in Renewal Season activities with Saugatuck Church, then submit them for this curated exhibit. Pastor Alison will also contribute sabbatical photos. Details TBA!
