High School

Youth Group

Our High School Youth Group fosters a sense of welcome and belonging where our youth can journey together to gain a deeper understanding of the Christian faith and learn the benefits of being part of a loving faith community. We tackle tough questions and maintain a bond of trust that goes past social cliques at school. Throughout the year, we participate in service projects, head out for adventures like indoor zip lines and enjoy raucous games of manhunt, sardines, and Wiffle ball.

Mission Trips

High schoolers (and incoming 9th graders) are invited to participate in an annual week-long trip each June. Mission trips provide the youth with a tremendous opportunity to learn and reflect about themselves and the world they live in. We see a profound change in perspective as the week progresses and the kids live among those they are serving and listen to their stories. Initial perceptions are challenged as we discover a capacity for compassion that goes beyond a week of service. Prior mission trips have traveled to Denver, Cuba, New Mexico, San Francisco, New Orleans, West Virginia, Nashville, Portland ME, the Jersey shore, Maine, Puerto Rico, and Vermont.

2025 Youth Mission Trip

Our youth are traveling to Texas, June 22–28, 2025! The group will partner with Be the Neighbor to provide assistance with food insecurity in the Fort Worth area, where 18% of residents experience food insecurity. We will restock food banks, serve meals, and work in community gardens – and do whatever is needed. To learn more or to register, contact Kim Mathias.
