Welcome!

We’re so glad you’re here.

Visiting a church for the first time can feel daunting — we get it. At Saugatuck Church, we’ll greet you with a smile, offer a program, and help you feel at home. No pressure, just genuine welcome. We look forward to welcoming you.

Some details to help you prepare for your visit:

  • Join us for worship in our Sanctuary every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Services are an hour.

During the summer, we also co-lead worship services at Compo Beach with four other local churches. The beach services start at 8:30 a.m. Bring a chair and look for us near the cannons!

  • Following every service, you’re invited to join us for coffee hour in Hoskins Hall and help yourself to refreshments!

  • Our church is located at 245 Post Road East in Westport.

When you arrive, follow the driveway to park in our spacious lot at the back of the church.

You can enter through the double doors you’ll see from the parking lot to enter our Welcome Center, or walk around to the front of the church and enter through our Sanctuary. An usher will greet you with a program.

Accessibilty: For accessible entrance, park in one of the designated spaces on the side of the church and enter through the side door, where you’ll find an elevator to the Sanctuary or Hoskins Hall levels.

  • All ages are welcome in worship! Our services begin as all-ages worship and feature a “Time for All Ages,” a family-friendly message that ties in with the themes of the service.

    Church School
From September through late May, while Church School is in session, our youth leave with their teachers for church school following the Time for All Ages. You can feel free to go with your child to the classroom, and then return to the service. Nursery care is also available for infants and toddlers.

    Summer Break
There’s no Church School or childcare during summer services in the Sanctuary or on Compo Beach. At the beach, the children are too busy participating in worship or playing in the sand. In the Sanctuary, kids are welcome to take an activity tote bag and sit with their families in the Sanctuary during the service.

  • We serve communion the first Sunday of every month and everyone – everyone – is welcome at the table. Jesus didn’t turn anyone away, and neither do we.

  • We are thrilled to announce that our congregation has unanimously ratified the call for Rev. Dr. Steven Savides to serve as our next pastor.

Pastor Steven is expected to begin ministry with us on September 15, with his first Sunday preaching on September 21. Please note that this date is approximate as we work together to ensure a smooth transition.

In the meantime, our worship services are led by our wonderful deacons, with inspiring sermons and reflections offered each week by guest preachers.
